Within a switched network infrastructure, VLANs provide traffic segmentation and flexibility. In this webinar we will discuss the need for implementing VLANs and the benefits they provide. We will also discuss VLAN architecture, as well as explore VLAN concepts such as tagging with 802.1q trunking, VLAN propagation with VTP, and more. Finally, we will show the configuration steps to implement a VLAN solution using Cisco switches.

Tony DeSimone has been an IT professional for over 20 years, starting as a network engineer for a network integrator in southern California. He is familiar with both Cisco and HP network products, holding CCNP and HP ATP certifications. In addition, Tony is a certified instructor for both Cisco and HP routing and switching technologies. He has experience with courseware development and has written curriculum for Cisco instructor-led and ELT courses.
