Max Ardica is a Principal Engineer with the DCNBU team (formerly Insieme Networks) at Cisco Systems focusing on Data Center virtualization, automation, compute, storage and switching architectures. Prior to his current position, Max spent the last 20 years filling different roles inside Cisco ranging from software development to Product Management. Before joining the INSBU team, Max worked in the Server and Access Virtualization Technology Group at Cisco Systems, where he studied evolving protocol standards, their impact on LAN and SAN design, and the integration of Nexus and UCS as components in Data Center architectures.

Description:

Enterprise and Service Provider customers have been required to build and manage Data Center networks that span multiple locations for many years. With the advent of hybrid cloud, businesses are experiencing a growing need to support multiple DC’s, as well as mixed environments of secure on-premises, remote location and cloud workloads. The Cisco ACI solution provides the tools to meet these new design requirements and use cases.

In this session we will cover the architecture and use cases of Cisco’s “ACI Anywhere” solution, which includes ACI Multi-Pod, Multi-Site, Remote Leaf, vPod and public cloud integrations. First, we will look at architecture, design best practices and configuration for each of these solutions. Then we will discuss how customers can use all of these solutions together and explain how the Cisco ACI solution provides centralized management so enterprises can apply the same networking policies and management for on-premises and off-premises cloud workloads.
